We’re thrilled to return and invite you to once again showcase the wonder of South Africa’s incredible birdlife!

Photography allows us to share the striking beauty and fascinating behaviour of the birds we encounter—whether in our backyards or out in the wild. Whether you’re dusting off a favourite from your archives or heading out for that perfect shot, we’re looking for images that capture the essence of South Africa’s wild birds. From familiar feathered friends to once-in-a-lifetime sightings, we can’t wait to celebrate your vision.

And you could be celebrating too!

If your photo takes the top spot as the Grand Prize winner, you and a companion will enjoy an unforgettable four-night stay for two at either &Beyond Phinda Forest Lodge or Mountain Lodge.
And that’s not all — with nine additional categories, each offering its own incredible prize, there are even more chances for your talent to shine!

Plus, the winning entries will have their moment in the spotlight of our world-renowned magazine, African Birdlife, and in the BirdLife South Africa 2026 calendar. Don’t let this opportunity fly by!
