Lectures Onboard

For those who want to take a break from birding on the decks, we will be running a series of lectures featuring talks by several of the world’s top conservationists, seabird experts, and marine mammal specialists. Our speakers will cover many facets of seabird and marine mammal biology, from their conservation and population status to their identification and biology.

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING: 

  1. The 1st theatre’s (Teatro La Scala) seating capacity is limited to 1123 people, and the 2nd  (Crystal Lounge) to 298 people.
  2. Lectures are estimated to last about 45 minutes.
  3. Lectures will NOT be livestreamed.
  4. No bookings are required.
  5. Printed copies will NOT be included in the welcome pack. Passengers may choose to print the programme before boarding.
  6. Please note that the programme is subject to change without prior notice. For the latest updates, kindly check the BirdLife South Africa information desk regularly while onboard. The daily and next day’s lecture schedules will be displayed in elevators and on monitors.
