The Johannesburg Region of the SANParks Honorary Rangers and BirdLife SA invite you to join us for a four night birding weekend at one of South Africa’s premier birding locations – the legendary Ndumo Game Reserve in northern KwaZulu-Natal. The reserve boasts no less than 490 species, including Neergard’s Sunbird, Rudd’s Apalis, Eastern Nicator, Pink-throated Twinspot, Rosy-throated Longclaw, Narina Trogon, Sooty Falcon and Pel’s Fishing-Owl to name a few.

If you are keen on learning more about birds and birding and have always wanted to develop one of the correct habits of looking at a bird, or need a refresher, then this Birding Basics Course is just what you have been looking for. The course will be presented by Lance Robinson. The theory will be covered on Saturday followed by a practical session will be held at a local birding spot on Sunday 7 July.
