Africa - Birds & Birding is financially and editorially independent. Published six times a year, it enjoys the support and endorsement of BirdLife South Africa and several other non-government organisations, but it is not affiliated in any way to these bodies or to any other publishing, environmental or political interest group.
Africa - Birds & Birding strives to foster an awareness of the continent's birdlife and to encourage the growth of birdwatching as a pastime and for its ecotourism potential. It consistently advocates the wisest use of natural resources in a manner that involves and is of real benefit to the people of Africa.
