BirdLife South Africa’s Travel Division now has more than 120 "Birder Friendly Enterprises" around the country with interest being shown by many of our neighboring countries like Mozambique, Zambia, Botswana and Namibia.

Our "Birder Friendly’s" include accommodation establishments, tour operators and other enterprises. They have all committed themselves to supporting BirdLife South Africa’s vision which is to conserve our wild birds and their habitats by promoting Avitourism. They do there utmost to ensure that their birding clients have the best possible "birder friendly" service. They offer flexible meal times or packed meals when requested, information on birds in their areas, and advice on where to pick up local bird guides.

BirdLife Travel offers personalized birding itineraries which incorporates "Birder Friendly Accommodation" and guides as well as car hire and internal flight arrangements.
